The Rev. Cindy Stansbury

Rector and Dean of Churches For the Sake of Others (C4SO) Diocese

The Reverend Cindy Stansbury has served as Rector of St. James since 2017 and Dean of our Diocese (Churches for the Sake of Others) since June 2023. Previously, she was Vicar of St. James starting in 2015. In addition to being a wife and mother, after spending many years in a variety of roles, from computer scientist at an AI company in Silicon Valley to headmaster of Live Oak Academy, Cindy heard the call to ministry and responded in obedience to that call. She received her master’s degree in ministry from Nashotah House Theological Seminary in 2010 and was ordained as deacon and then priest in 2011. Cindy has lived most of her life in the Bay Area.

The Rev. Carole Anderson

Deacon

The Rev. Carole Anderson joined St. James in June of 2012. Carole was ordained a Deacon in November of 1999 at Good Shepherd Fellowship, an Anglican Church plant in Santa Cruz. She served there until 2003, when she moved to Christ the King Anglican Church in Campbell. Carole served at Christ the King until coming to St. James. Carole has a pastor’s heart and especially enjoys serving women and the elderly in the church. Carole is widowed with two grown children and four beautiful grandchildren.

Shelly Franklin

Worship Music Leader

Shelly Franklin joined St. James Staff in February 2013 as the Worship Music Leader. Shelly has been singing and teaching singing for many years in the San Francisco Bay area. Shelly has also released her second album The First time in a Long Time (on iTunes). Shelly is a professional vocal instructor with a private practice in Los Gatos and has been a Speech Level Singing Master Instructor for over 25 years. Paul Robertson

Chief Financial Administrator

Paul Robertson joined the staff as the Chief Financial Administrator in January of 2013 after 25 years at Winchester Mystery House.

Susan Basler

Parish Administrator

Susan is a founding member of St. James. In addition to serving as the parish administrator, she is Head of Communications and Acting Sexton. In her free time, Susan loves to spend time with her husband, four daughters, one grandson, one dog, and a flock of ducks and chickens.
